The Problem We Solve

Across Sub-Saharan Africa, small-scale fisherfolk face massive losses due to inadequate cold storage.

40% to 50% of fish harvests are lost due to spoilage.

60% of fisherfolk live off-grid, with no access to reliable power.

Women traders face economic exploitation, limiting their independence.

Our Solution

We deploy IoT-enabled, solar-powered cold storage solutions tailored for small to medium-scale aggregators/fisherfolks and women fish mongers at no upfront costs.

Our approach includes:

Fabricating 200L mobile solar powered freezers using phase change materials (PCMs) for first-mile storage and transport.

Providing sustainable cooled refrigeration trucks for off take transportation

Converting custom-built shipping containers into efficient, smart solar powered cold storage units for last mile centralized aggregation and cold storage hubs.

Establishing exclusive supply contracts with the aggregators and fisherfolks using our infrastructure.

In return:

1

We provide fair off take market prices.

2

We recoup our initial investment through the consistent daily sales these freezers enable.

3

We offer a stable supply to the market—even during low catch seasons.

Our solution empowers women and secures their roles in the fishing communities —reducing economic vulnerability and helping to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS.
